Fellowships & Training Opportunities

Justice Next Cohort

Status: Application Open. Deadline Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST
In partnership with the NBA Foundation we created the Justice Next Cohort – a skill-building and leadership development program to empower and equip the next generation of individuals who are impacted by the criminal justice system or the climate crisis. We are now accepting applications from eligible BIPOC young adults between 18 - 24 years of age living in Sacramento, California.  

Dream Fellowship

Status: 2024 Application opening on March 20th, 2024
The Dream Fellowship is a training program designed for anyone with a vision to better their world, particularly those with less change-making experience. This program is for individuals who have not had access to similar opportunities in the past, and for those who may have lost some hope that real change is achievable. The 2024 Fellowship will be open to people in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The Fellowship will be open to people in the Midwest and East Coast in 2025. Dream Justice Cohort

Status: 2024 Application Open; deadline May 3rd, 2024
The Dream Justice Cohort is a training program created to provide justice-impacted leaders with the skills they need to change the criminal justice system – from organizing and advocacy to media skills. Participants are joined by our talented staff and previous cohort graduates and receive the most innovative training for justice leaders across the country.

Justice Innovation Fellowship

Status: Application Closed
The Justice Innovation fellowship supports entrepreneurs building innovations that improve the lives of individuals and communities impacted by the justice system and reduce the footprint of the criminal justice system.

This robust fellowship program will expand upon the groundwork Village Capital and AmFam Institute started in 2020 including building and mapping the Justice Tech ecosystem in the US and launching an Investing Framework to help inform investors in this nascent space on how to approach making ethical Justice Tech investments.

Dream Climate Tech Launchpad

Status: 2023 Application Closed
Dream.Org’s Climate Tech LaunchPad program helps Black and Latinx innovators and owners of climate tech businesses to overcome the barriers that stand in their way of growing and scaling climate and cleantech solutions, especially in disadvantaged communities.

Green Business Council Fellowship

Status: 2023 Applications Closed
Dream.Org recently announced the launch of our Dream.Org Business Council Fellowship Program. Made possible with support from Google.Org and Google Nest, the program is awarding 10 fellowships of $20,000 to professionals who are looking to develop their careers in the clean energy sector.

Climate Tech Career Pathways Scholarship Fund

Status: Application Open. Deadline: March 8th, 2024
The Climate Tech Career Pathways Scholarship Fund is looking to change the face of the industry by empowering untapped talent to enter the climate tech and sustainability. Dream.Org seeks to elevate people from diverse communities to position them for employment, shaping a more inclusive future while reducing negative environmental impacts that have disproportionate effects on communities of color.

Empathy Network Leaders Fund

Status: Application Open
The Justice team at Dream.Org is looking to partner with directly impacted leaders at the state and local levels. The Dream.Org Empathy Network Leadership Fund is an opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $2,500 to support your activism. And the sky’s the limit!

Justice Innovation Prize

Status: 2023 Application Closed
The Justice Innovation Prize is an open call for innovative, impactful, feasible, and scalable ideas to end the cycle of mass incarceration. The Justice Innovation Prize Pitch competition is free and open to the public. Watch the Justice Innovation Prize Documentary
