Building an inclusive green economy will take more than deploying climate solutions in disadvantaged communities. By investing in BIPOC genius, we can create work and wealth opportunities for communities of color while unlocking innovative solutions to address complex problems that impacted communities face.

The Dream Entrepreneurs Network is a diverse group of innovators who are using their lived experience to transform communities most impacted by climate change and mass incarceration. Our goal is to build and support a pipeline of 100 minority-owned climate entrepreneurs to become stewards of historic climate investments, capturing $50B+ in economic benefits over the next 10 years.

To solve our world’s toughest problems, we need bold, innovative solutions. But too often, those most impacted have the least opportunity to create change.

Our Climate Tech LaunchPad is disrupting that norm by helping Black and Latinx innovators scale cutting-edge ideas that move the needle on climate equity. By reducing barriers for Black and Brown entrepreneurs in the climate tech space, we are helping ensure that those most impacted by climate change not only benefit from new green tech, but that they are also active participants in shaping what those solutions are.

Through our Dream Entrepreneurs Network we are utilizing the promise of technological transformation to support our mission to close prison doors and open doors of opportunity into a green economy. This means tapping into the deep talent pools and genius that exists in Black, Brown, and system-impacted communities, who use their lived experience to create solutions that fit their communities’ needs. 

The entrepreneurs and innovators that make up the Dream Entrepreneurs Network have overcome disproportionate barriers to break through into their respective sectors, and still face unique challenges in scaling their businesses.

Dream.Org in partnership with Frontline Gig, is investing in the next generation of climate leaders through the Dream the Future: Green Career Scholarship. We are awarding up to $3,500 to help underrepresented talent access education, training, and meaningful careers in sustainability, clean energy, and beyond.

In 2025, Dream.Org concluded that the trajectory of AI is one of the most pressing issues facing the country right now, and given our organizational focus on justice, tech, and climate, we need to be part of the conversation. AI, like technology generally, is neither good nor bad, but we have an active role to play in using it to create opportunities for the communities we serve, while reducing its harms. Likewise, AI’s increased role in our economy, politics, and culture is inevitable, but what form it takes is unwritten. 

Since then, we generated a set of “North Star” principles that will inform our internal and external policies. Our entire staff, which comes to this issue with a variety of opinions and experiences, was engaged in creating it. We are now sharing it with trusted partners, and eventually more broadly, with the goal of identifying others who are willing to wrestle with these difficult questions and help forge an “AI for All.”
