Tasha Lawrence
Community Engagement Manager
Tasha Lawrence has dedicated her life to her family and the service of her community. Over the years, Tasha has worked to increase diversity and inclusion in marginalized communities through the nonprofit sector, serving in a multiplicity of areas including starting Chase’s World, National Membership Service Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, education, and administration. She is a native of Georgia. Her Senior Capstone for her MBA was in Urban Community Development Program at Keller Graduate sparked her passion for community issues. Tasha’s efforts at NBMBAA helped expand membership by 25% and increased gross revenue by 20% over a two-year period and created monthly meetings with other Membership Managers within the nationwide chapters to discuss best practices, training opportunities, and coaching clinics. She believes everyone should have access to information to make informed decisions that directly impact them. Prior to joining National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), she focused her career in education financial services, resulting in positions ranging from an accountant, adjunct faculty, and project coordinator. Tasha has also volunteered her time working with youth leadership through her fellowship at various local churches throughout metro Atlanta. Tasha is happy to further the work of Dream.org through equality optic and purposeful community engagement activities. Tasha enjoys spending time with her son and other family members and visiting many spirited areas throughout the great state of Georgia.
