John Payne
Chief Financial Officer
John starting honing his skills in finance, accounting and management working full time for various companies in the San Diego area while studying finance at San Diego State University. After relocating to the Bay Area in 1996, John has overseen finance and accounting for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He has overseen $55m operational and $5m capital expenditure budgets in his career.
John has been making an impact in the Bay Area not for profit sector since 1998. He has held the Director of Finance positions for Fellowship Academy and Oakland School for the Arts. Prior to joining Dream.org, in 2019, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Youth UpRising.
