Brooke Durham
Deputy Director of Communications
Brooke leads climate and policy communications to elevate the voices of those most impacted by systemic problems like climate change, mass incarceration, and the racial wealth gap. She leverages her subject matter expertise and passion for environmental and economic justice to lead communications strategies that move the needle on our nation's toughest challenges. Her work – and the work of her talented team – centers on telling the stories of impacted communities and uplifting the lived experiences of underrepresented leaders to compel diverse audiences to be a part of the solution. In 2022, Brooke joined Dream.Org as Deputy Director of Communications and also served as the Interim Campaign Director. She brings over a decade of experience in climate advocacy, communications strategy, and design. Before joining the Dream Team, she was the head of communications and marketing for the Center for Transportation and the Environment, managed creative marketing at the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, and started her own graphic design and video production business. Brooke holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor of Science from Montreat College. Brooke has received several awards recognizing her servant leadership, character, and commitment to excellence. She currently resides in the Atlanta area with her family, and enjoys playing violin and spending time outdoors.
