Alexis Uzoh
Transformative Communities Program Coordinator
Alexis Uzoh is the Program Assistant of Green For All. Her responsibilities include streamlining the procurement process across the Green For All team, providing support for Solutions Tour events, and facilitating team meetings to cultivate a culture of belonging. Her commitment to environmental justice began in high school where she participated in creek clean ups, planned fundraisers, and collaboratively created a video PSA about environmental pollution to be presented at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Ocean Plastic Pollution Summit. Alexis is a first-generation Nigerian-American who graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Psychology. She previously interned at the California Department of Civil Rights where she helped create and present an employee training workshop and webinar about the problems that unconscious bias can cause in the workplace and the strategies that can be implemented to improve them. She is committed to pursuing environmental justice for disenfranchised communities and advocating for policies that promote climate equity and address racial disparity. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys writing poetry, attending concerts and festivals, and trying out cool new restaurants.
