Dream.Org Announces Winners of National Cash Prize Contest for America’s 250th Anniversary

July 04, 2026

People across the country shared their Dream for America for a chance to win up to $1,000

Oakland, CA. — In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, back in April Dream.Org launched the Dream For America campaign asking: “What’s your dream for America?” The national storytelling and civic engagement campaign invited people from across the country to share their vision for America's future for a chance to win up to $1,000.

After 560 written submissions, the winners have been selected with 3 video responses receiving $1,000 and 4 written responses receiving $500. They are:

  • Moncies Franco (Minnesota)
  • Mica Williams (North Carolina)
  • Camrien Cooper (California)
  • Elbony Weatherspoon (Tennessee)
  • Arkasanti Lee (Pennsylvania)
  • Carson Quillinan (North Carolina)
  • Christiana Clarke (Texas)

Dream.Org is grateful for the abundance of thoughtful submissions and is inspired by people’s passion for the future of the American Dream. This campaign has proven everyday people are ready to use their voices to help shape the future of the American dream for the next 250 years.

The 250th anniversary is not just a celebration. It is a call to action to answer a harder question: what kind of country are we building for the next generation?” says Dream.Org CEO Nisha Anand. “America has always held both promise and contradiction. But there is still more that unites us than divides us. If we are willing to find common ground and take responsibility for solving real problems, we can move closer to an American dream that lives up to our founding principles and expands who fully belongs in it.”
