Green Reentry Incubator Launches in Charlotte for Justice-Impacted Community
Eight week program equips participants with training, mentorship, and direct pathways into green jobs.
Oakland, California - February 4th, 2026 - Applications are now open for Dream.Org’s pilot Green Reentry Incubator in Charlotte, NC. The eight week course equips justice-impacted individuals with the skills, mentorship, and community support to access good-paying green jobs in the Charlotte region.
By blending environmental education with personal development, leadership training, employment pathways, and community learning, the incubator breaks cycles of incarceration and opens doors of opportunity into the green economy. The cohort will begin on April 11th with in-person and virtual sessions and gather for a graduation ceremony in June.
“This isn’t just a program,” says cohort leader and Dream.Org’s Senior Director of Green For All, Jasmine Davenport, “It’s a launchpad for transformation, both personal and systemic.”
Local non-profit organization, Sol Nation, is an on the ground climate justice partner for the pilot program. They’ve assisted with identifying other partners, experts, and facilitators in the Charlotte area and will be participating as expert facilitators for some of the sessions during orientation and graduation.
Charlotte based individuals that have been incarcerated, have loved ones that have been incarcerated, or have had personal experiences with the criminal justice system can apply now through March 4th 11:59 PM EST on Dream.Org’s website. Eligible candidates will go through a phone screening and final interview.
