Green Reentry Incubator

About the Program
The Green Reentry Incubator equips justice-impacted individuals with the tools, skills, mentorship, and community support to build a greener, more just future.
By blending environmental education with personal development and leadership training, the incubator breaks cycles of incarceration and opens doors to green career pathways. Each participant becomes a proof point that investing in people, not punishment, is how we build safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.
Launching July 11-August 29, 2026, this 8-week program in the Bay Area will operate in tandem with a Charlotte, NC cohort. Up to 10 Bay Area-based justice-impacted individuals will be connected to local opportunities and employers.
Participants will be exposed to clean energy topics such as:
- Solar power
- Habitat Restoration
- Waste Management
- Distributed energy resources
- Local infrastructure and resilience hubs
- Entrepreneurship and much more!
Reentry wraparound services will be prioritized and available to participants. Cohort graduates will leave with a clear understanding of green career opportunities, connections to local employers, and a roadmap for long-term economic stability.
Applications for the Bay area cohort are open from May 8 through June 19, 2026.

From July to August, there will be a hybrid of virtual and in-person sessions led by experts based in California and around the United States. Workshops will range from introductory energy lessons to money management skills and professional development. The program will utilize hands-on demonstrations and on-site field trips to help cohort participants get a deeper understanding of what opportunities exist in the local green economy.
Participants will be expected to complete the OSHA-10 General Industry course during the 8 weeks. Course completion and certification is a requirement for stipend eligibility at the end of the program (August 29th).
*Course access will be provided for free to all participants during orientation.*
Dream.Org will provide mentorship as well as cover letter, resume, and job application assistance. Collaboration opportunities with other cohort participants will also be available.
To graduate from this program, participants are required to practice mock interviews with local employers.
