The Climate Career Pathways Scholarship Fund by Dream.Org is designed to bolster the transition into climate and sustainability sectors. We believe in the power of diverse perspectives in shaping a greener future. This initiative supports individuals in acquiring technical skills and professional certifications necessary for these fields, fostering an inclusive, sustainable and green innovative ecosystem. We aim to mitigate environmental impacts that disproportionately impact communities of color by investing in their skill development in these crucial sectors.
To solve our world’s toughest problems, we need bold, innovative solutions. But too often, those most impacted have the least opportunity to create change.
Our Climate Tech LaunchPad is disrupting that norm by helping Black and Latinx innovators scale cutting-edge ideas that move the needle on climate equity. By reducing barriers for Black and Brown entrepreneurs in the climate tech space, we are helping ensure that those most impacted by climate change not only benefit from new green tech, but that they are also active participants in shaping what those solutions are.
The rise of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts reflects the growing awareness that corporations and businesses need to attract more diverse talent. This not only improves company culture, it paves the way for more innovation by opening companies up to the untapped brilliance in these overlooked communities. Yet many still don’t know where to start. We connect job seekers directly to our corporate partners, build training cohorts to upskill and fill positions, and help top tech organizations ensure great onboarding and retention of diverse talent.
Black and Brown communities are most severely impacted by climate change and mass incarceration, and yet are rarely included in the creation of solutions. By bringing these communities into the conversation and making changes to the structural barriers keeping them out. That’s why we launched the Clean Energy Scholarship program to help more individuals – particularly those in communities of color – take a first step towards a green future, whether it’s getting an education or launching a business. The Dream Entrepreneurs Network is a group of innovators who are on the cutting edge of creating solutions that transform communities most impacted by climate change and mass incarceration.
Building on the Clean Energy Scholarship Program, the Dream.Org Business Council Fellowship Program takes investing in diverse talent a step further by providing a full year of experience in a green job.
