Shelby Sorrells
Program Assistant to the Chief Strategy Officer
Shelby graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which is where she developed a deep passion for justice reform and community-building. Prior to joining Dream.Org, she interned with a variety of nonprofits and companies, such as the Innocence Project of Florida, the Justice Policy Institute, Transformative Justice Solutions, and the social justice podcast company Signal Co. No1. Shelby was also a research assistant at the University of Florida where she contributed to a study examining prosecutorial misconduct in wrongful conviction cases.
Shelby has been a competitive swimmer and water polo player for most of her life. In her free time, she enjoys walking dogs, baking, reading, binge-watching reality TV, and traveling! She is based in Orlando, Florida.
