Lauren Johnson
Justice Director
Lauren Johnson is the Justice Director at Dream.Org.
Her experience as someone who is formerly incarcerated, and having given birth during incarceration informs her advocacy on issues ranging from Fair Chance Hiring to reducing sentencing guidelines for low-level drug crimes and improving prison conditions, especially for women.
Lauren joined the Dream team after spending seven years doing legislative policy work at the ACLU of Texas as a policy advocacy strategist.
As the justice director, Lauren runs our state legislative campaigns across the country and is deeply committed to the idea that we have to be the change that we seek in the world. Outside of her role with Dream.Org, Lauren is working towards an empty nest, loves grandbaby time, her dogs, an occasional concert, summer time at the pool, or dreaming of international travel destinations so send all your best money saving travel tips
