Jasmine Davenport
Green For All Senior Director
Awarded the 2022 JFK New Frontier award by Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and Jack Schlossberg for her work in climate justice, Jasmine Davenport is a climate scientist, strategist, advocate and native of Monroe, Louisiana. Jasmine has been featured in national media and publications, including MSNBC’s SYMONE, CNBC, POLITICO, USA Today, NPR, BBC, and more. Striving to raise awareness of the intersectional impacts of climate change and the communities who are disproportionately impacted, she works in collaboration with colleagues, communities, and organizations to make a global impact. Previously, she served as the Senior Advisor for Climate Justice for the Biden-Harris Administration where she was responsible for advising on the implementation of $11B of funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, resulting in partnerships and collaborations for states, local governments, territories, Tribes, and Tribal consortia. As the former Executive Director of Our Climate, a youth-focused organization empowering young people to advocate for science-based, equitable and intersectional climate justice policies, she collaborated with staff and Our Climate's Board and Advisory Council to develop new creative programming, resulting in 10,000+ youth being mobilized. She has also managed the strategic initiatives and special projects for HIAS, wrote legislative briefs for the U.S. House of Representatives Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and worked for Terpstra Associates, a DC lobbying firm where she advocated on Capitol Hill for agricultural and environmental issues. Jasmine earned a Master of Science Degree in Tropical Marine Biology from the University of Essex. Specializing in climate change, her graduate thesis detailed the shifts in the genetic composition of three DMS-consuming cnidarians. Jasmine completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Alabama, where she majored in biology and minored in Spanish. She currently resides in the Washington, DC area with her family, and serves on the Board of Directors for Ocean Discovery Institute.

As the Sr. Director, Jasmine will lead the execution of Green For All’s federal and local policy agenda, particularly legislation that advances common ground climate policies that unite Republicans and Democrats behind climate and clean energy solutions. Top duties include: providing policy research, analysis, legislative advocacy and coalition building leadership for Dream.Org’s Green For All team, and collaborate with Dream.Org’s Government Affairs division.
