Janos Marton
Chief Executive Officer
Janos Marton is the CEO of Dream.Org.
Since joining Dream.Org in 2021, Janos has helped shape the organization’s advocacy strategy and, since 2024, has overseen its programs and campaigns. Prior to being named CEO, Janos served as Dream.Org's Chief Advocacy Officer.
Janos has spent his career advancing social justice as an organizer, civil rights attorney, campaign strategist, and nonprofit leader. He began leading large-scale criminal justice campaigns in 2016 as Policy and Campaigns Director at JustLeadershipUSA, where he managed the historic Close Rikers campaign. He later oversaw state criminal justice campaigns at the ACLU and ran for Manhattan District Attorney.
Earlier in his career, Janos brought civil rights lawsuits, investigated political corruption, and helped oversee police misconduct investigations. A born and raised New Yorker, he has also worked on campaigns and community-building initiatives in Mississippi, Nevada, Missouri, and South Dakota. He is a member of the national Council on Criminal Justice.
Janos lives on Staten Island with his wife, Cristina.
