Harrison Ribeiro de Oliveira
Deputy Director of Digital Organizing
Harrison Ribeiro graduated from Chapman University in 2017 with a B.A. in sociology and a minor in rhetoric and writing. After graduation, he worked simultaneously at a state park and at an independent record label. In addition, Harrison volunteered with underserved youth, as an advocate for mental health patients, and with the unhoused population of Orange County to combat the opioid crisis on the ground. Harrison moved to Oakland in early 2019 to intern with the Center for Biological Diversity’s organizing program, quickly falling in love with the natural beauty of the Bay Area and the widespread commitment to social and environmental justice of its residents. As Dream.org Deputy Director of Digital Organizing, Harrison mobilizes volunteers across the country to take action in their communities and builds creative engagement strategies for the organization’s base. As an avid birder, Harrison spends most of his free time outdoors with his binoculars, reading, illustrating, watching horror movies, and organizing to fight the climate crisis.
