Statement: Dream.Org Commends Senate For Swift Confirmation Of FERC Nominees

June 14, 2024

This week, the U.S. Senate confirmed the nominees for the Federal Energy Regulation Commission (FERC), ensuring the agency can continue its work to provide reliable and affordable electricity to all Americans.

In response to the nominations, Dream.Org Green For All Policy Director Kyle Kammien issued the following statement:

"Dream.Org is pleased that the Senate moved quickly to confirm the nominees for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). With this week's votes to confirm David Rosner, Lindsay See, and Judy Chang the agency will be able to continue its vital work to ensure reliable and affordable electricity is available to all Americans. We look forward to seeing FERC have a full slate of 5 commissioners as it addresses important issues for the future of our electric grid and energy needs.

We look forward to working with FERC and relevant stakeholders to ensure rule making and implementation centers the needs of communities most impacted by climate change while accelerating the transition to clean energy. The green transition won’t be fully realized without better transmission.”
