Janet is a Campaign Organizer at Dream.Org JUSTICE. Prior to joining Dream.Org, she served as the Director of Pretrial Services at the Staten Island Justice Center overseeing the Supervised Release Program that was created in response to Bail Reform in New York. Prior to that, she worked as the liaison between the courts and Newark Community Solutions, New Jersey's first community court. Throughout her career, she saw the negative impact of mass incarceration on not only individuals, but communities at large fueling the passion to find ways to reduce the overuse of the carceral system. Janet received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from Rutgers University and master’s degree in forensic mental health counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
